Case Study #1
This is a 54 year old male with insulin dependant diabetes and a history of recurring infections of his left foot which resulted in an amputation the great toe and part of the first metatarsal. Hyperbaric therapy in conjunction with wound care and diabetic management was implemented to attempt salvage of his foot at the level of the amputation. After 37 hyperbaric treatments a skin graft was performed and an additional 20 treatments resulted in a healed foot.
Case Study #2
This is a 91 year old female with marked drainage and breakdown of the right lower leg and a history of diabetes. With regular wound care and a total of 72 hyperbaric treatments the wounds resolved.
