Surgical Dehiscence
This 52 year old female had a surgical dehiscence, or opening of the suture
site, and a necrotizing infection (MRSA) shortly after a routine hernia surgery
done elsewhere.
The wound initially measured 5 x 20 x 4 cm deep.
She was referred to us in an attempt to close the wound.
Immediate Hyperbaric treatments were given and daily wound care. The wound was healed in fewer than 30 Hyperbaric treatments.
